      MoMM 2/c Andrew Stalma was transfered to the Sea Dog after the war. There he spent the next two years, and brought home with him many memories and stories. The USS Sea Dog, SS-401 was Commissioned June 3, 1944, at Portsmith New Hamshire. She made four war patrols, sinking nine ships totaling 47,000 tons. On her fouth patrol she was the flagship of a wolf pack known as "Hydeman's Hellcats". The Hellcats sank over 108,000 tons, with Sea Dog  scoring the largest, 29,000 tons.
